A field of 30 players battles it out in this no-cut finale for the biggest prize on TOUR. Scottie Scheffler once again heads to East Lake ranked No. 1 in the FedExCup Standings after a fabulous 2024 campaign that includes six TOUR victories and a gold medal at the Paris Olympics. This is the third straight year Scheffler enters the season finale ranked No. 1, and he’ll start two shots ahead of the pack heading into the first round. Xander Schauffele has also had a great season, claiming two major titles. The American finished T2 and T5 in recent years at East Lake and sits two shots back of Scheffler. Hideki Matsuyama also eyes his chances in Georgia this week. He won the first Playoffs event at the FedEx St. Jude Championship but withdrew from the BMW Championship last week due to a back injury. He claimed the bronze medal at the Olympics, as well as victory at The Genesis Invitational earlier this year.
